SONNY CLARK "Cool Struttin" Blue Note 1588, RVG, DG, P, LAM, Mono Vinyl This is the first edition, 1958, Deep Groove, "RVG" stamped, Laminated Cover, "P" pressing of SONNY CLARK's "Cool Struttin" on the "47 West 63rd" labels of Blue Note BLP 1588. Musicians include Sonny Clark, Jackie McLean, Art Farmer, Paul Chambers, Philly Joe Jones. VINYL plays with low to medium level surface noise (i.e, static, crackle, ??,????,relative to the volume of the music/instruments), with pops and ticks. Ensemble sections are very dynamic and strong, clear, clean and powerful. No distortion. No locked grooves. No skips. Clean vinyl, okay gloss. Handful of hairline marks, one or two feelable. As with all original Blue Note pressings, this beautifully recorded and pressed first pressing largely overcomes surface defects. The Deep Groove "47 West 63rd" labels are clean with spindle marks under direct light. See photos.ORIGINAL LAMINATED COVER is in good condition, top and bottom seam and opening taped.
