ABOUT YOUR SELLER..... "HENRY BUTLER"

1. All albums sold here under balmain_tiggy are from my personal collection built up from 1976 (First purchase ACDC "TNT"11th Birthday present) to my final purchase 3 years ago in 2012(Bauhaus's Bela Lugosi's Dead which was real hard to find in Sydney 2012). In between those 2 album purchases there were 40 years of life ....supposedly!!! My 1 constant companion was my devotion to acquiring new interesting vinyl which I would listen to until I felt I understood how it was created musically and what combinations of equipment and production techniques had been utilised to achieve the atmosphere of the final cut. ( Good time to confess that once upon a time in a galaxy far far away I was once a pretty good session guitarist in London..... and these days still love recording in my own little studio at home appropriately named "Forbidden Colours") In pursuit of this goal, and for the pure pleasure that acquiring good vinyl gave me..... I finally ended up converting the study room here into a music storage facility.....looks like a corner of the library but with a strictly enforced 'no books allowed' policy! Within this room are contained a little over 5000 albums. I estimate it will take me 3 years to find good homes for all of them and I'm now starting month 3 ........

POSTAGE & POLICY

The following figures are very accurate approximations with regards to posting to any part of Australia......

For individual LPs up to 3 LPs, I use professionally made strengthened cardboard LP mailers. These specially made LP mailers are state of the art and unsurpassed in quality.

For 4 to 19 LPs, I use purpose built 13.5 inch squared stiffened cardboard boxes designed specifically for this purpose.

For both styles of packaging, there are no gaps and no possibility for any movement whatsoever during it's journey to you.

RECORD GRADING & THE DETAILS SECTION

There is only one required grading measurement for vinyl listings on EBay and that's the records 'OVERALL CONDITION'. Only a few possible options exist from which I must pick the closest approximation. It starts with;

There are 2 other grading questions which come up later but these 2 are optional. They are for the seller to inform all potential buyers as to condition of the vinyl and then to appraise the quality of the sleeve. I answer every question posed and answer them as I see them. As human beings though you it won't come as any surprise that one man's trash is another man's treasure........or more specifically here......one man's grading excellent could easily be another man's VERY GOOD.

I TAKE DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHS OF EVERY PART OF THE ALBUM.....

Front.... middle..... back .......inserts .....vinyl itself.......posters etc.........................

Use my photos in conjunction with my grading classifications to form a very comprehensive understanding of the condition of the album you intend to bid on. If you still have questions then fire me a message and I'll come back to you with the answer 'lickety split"!!!!!!!!!

Wikipedia and Discogs

I will normally include some background info about the band and their album as well as the full track listing. I merely copy and paste from Wikipedia or Discogs to EBay and must therefore advise you that these articles can from time to time contain errors. So in order to protect yourself against any such errors I would like to urge you all to do a little fact checking of your own on items your are intending to purchase .....and then you'll have done your 'due diligence' and confirm to your own satisfaction that all my included information is in fact correct or not!!!

REFUNDS

However; I offer a rather unique refund service which couldn't be any better or simpler to understand.

Included within that refund I also pay for the return of the item to me. So if you're not happy with your purchase for any reason whatsoever and are wanting a full refund then message me and I will pay the return postage via PayPal to you in advance. You send back, and upon return you will be credited the full amount back to you the same day.

This is not a business ...... and I will never get back the money I put into these albums......however I've looked after them for a long time now; and by selling them to customers on EBay who really want them, affords me a great deal of pleasure...... Especially in the knowledge that they can carry on giving others as much pleasure as they have given me for the last 40 years!
