Up for auction is the very first pressing of Led Zeppelin's debut album. Released in the sleeve with turquoise text

A1/B1 uncorrected matrix endings, 588171 A1 / 588171 B1

Superhype publishing credits

Sleeve Condition:

VG+ Not bad. Somewhere between VG and VG+ depending on how harsh you are. No tears anywhere so that's a good start

On the front I can count 7 lamination lines, there is a crease on the bottom left corner. There is some lamination lifting and darkening off the spine, and there is light beginning-of-ringwear visible at the top

The spine is a tad pinched but all the text is visible

On the rear I can again count several lamination lines and a crease bottom right corner. The spine creases are a bit more visible here

Vinyl Condition Visual:

Looking under a strong lamp there are just a few too many removal marks for me to grade any higher than VG. It still retains a lovely shine and hasn't been dulled by excessive scuffing. So very light removal marks, several (but not loads) non-feelable hairlines and some very light removal scuffs only. There are no horror feelable scratches or anything like that.

Vinyl Condition Playback:

I've listened to the album several times and although some light clicks are present, they're just soft clicks. I haven't ever thought 'ugh what's that?' i.e no horrible loud pops or hissing. Very very enjoyable. In my opinion it's VG+ but I'll let you make up your own mind- here is full audio of every song:

On 01-Dec-17 at 11:01:58 GMT, seller added the following information:

I just wanted to add something about the soundclips. Having just heard them for the first time on my laptop.

These are obviously transcribed direct from my cartridge to my radial preamp, into my a/d converters, into my computer. So you're hearing a sound completely unaffected by the real world (rooms, speakers etc)

In the real-world much of the noise will be rolled off and be very much more in the background

As laptop speakers have next to no bass, if you're listening on one the crackles will be WAY accentuated, so I want to urge you all to make sure you listen to the clips on a full-range system, preferably through the amp and speakers you'd be listening to the LP on- for the truest evaluation

Many thanks for looking!
