AARON NEVILLE Hercules RARE/FUNK/SOUL/BREAKS 45 mp3

Aaron Neville
Hercules b/w Going Home 45
[MERCURY, #73387, 1973]

Here's a VG+ copy of Aaron Neville's highly-sought-after, double-sided classic-Hercules b/w Going Home on Mercury Records from 1973.

An essential piece of NOLA funk Hercules was sampled by Biz Markie, Young MC, and UGK to name a few.

Hercules is chock full of great breaks plus it stands up proud as both a Northern Soul slow burner and one of the best collaborations between Aaron Neville and producer Allen Toussaint.

Both sides of this essential single were written and produced by master New Orleans producer, arranger, songwriter, pianist and singer Allen Toussaint.

Any questions please free to ask!

Vinyl condition: VG+ (there is some background noise on the soft passages of Going Home, and a slight tick on the first 5 seconds of Hercules...please listen to the sound clips and be the judge)
Label condition: VG+

SOUNDCLIP
This sound clip is from the actual record being auctioned. Please keep in mind it is being recorded in mono on a portable player. But it should provide you with a good sonic impression of the condition of the record.

RECORD GRADING:

Near Mint: This is the top grade and is in pristine condition with excellent gloss and no marks. May look unplayed. A NM cover will show no signs of wear.

A NM- is slightly below the NM grade with only one imperfection but generally flawless.

VG++: Record may have sleeve marks from being pulled in and out of a cover. Typically these marks will only be viewable under a bright light bulb. Generally will play through like a NM- with little to no surface noise. Cover may have storage wear, tiny age spots, or creasing, nothing distracting or major.

VG+: Visible scuffing or surface wear may be present, but not deep enough to affect play. VG+ records may have slight surface noise, but only noticeable in quiet passages of music (or at beginning of record or between tracks.) This slight surface noise should not overwhelm the music experience otherwise. Covers in this grade may have ringwear, edgewear, creases, or general shelf wear. Splits or writing on cover or label will be noted.

VG: Vinyl will display many hairline scuffs or scratches, but will play with a tolerable amount of noise. A great play copy but clearly used. Cover may have splits and heavy wear, writting or stains, and possible tears or creases

We generally do not list below VG unless a record is incredibly rare. We do not sell reissues!
