CONDITION: Cover: VG+ Vinyl: VG+ NOTES: Anthem of the Sun is the second studio album by the Grateful Dead, released in 1968. It is the first album to feature second drummer Mickey Hart, who joined the band in September 1967. In 2003, the album was ranked number 287 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. A remixed version of Anthem of the Sun was issued in 1971 (with the same product number, #WS-1749), and can be identified by the letters RE after the master numbers. The original mix has a fade out at the end of the vocals for Born Cross-Eyed whereas the remix has a blast of feedback. Phil hated the remixed version after it came out , and said "the original mix was a piece of art". This oddity in the Dead discography happened as a deliberate move from Warner Bros, who may have been dissatisfied with the original sleeve design for "Anthem" and tried a different look when reprinting the 1971 re-mix in the mid-1970s. In any event, the Dead were not amused and saw to it that the new sleeve design was withdrawn quickly after release, creating a rarity. *Original inner sleeve.*FREE SHIPPING FOR US BUYERS!

Near Mint (NM or M-) a nearly perfect record. No obvious signs, of wear. Only signs of slight handling.
Very Good Plus (VG+) Some signs of wear, slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect play. Label may have some ring wear, discoloration but barely noticeable. Cover may show slight wear such as lightly turned up corners & slight seam split. LP cover may have slight signs of wear.
Very Good (VG) Many of the defects found in VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG record. Groove wear will start to be noticeable. Labels may have writing, tape or stickers attached. The same will be true of sleeves or LP cover.
Good(G), Good Plus (G+) Record will play without skipping, but will have surface noise, scratches and visible groove wear.
Cover will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear will be evident.
