Here is a rare original copy of Betty Lloyd's classic "I'm Catching On" b/w "You Say Things You Don't Mean", BSC 401, a small Detroit label.
Nashville Matrix is steel-stamped in the dead wax on both sides. Also, on the A-side is "BSC 401 AX" and on the B-side is "BSC 401 BX", and both sides have the number 95 in the dead wax
This record plays through without difficulty on both sides, but there is a fair amount of crackle in the background, you mostly hear it in the trail-off grooves on the A-side. There are a few pops here and there. There are numerous light scratches and scuffs, and a couple of deeper scratches but it retains most of the original gloss. There is some ball point writing on the B-side label, where someone decided to add the word "always" to the title. It's not very prominent, but it's there.
All in all, visually and aurally, I conservatively grade this record as VG-, but it's certainly worth considering due to its rarity.
