This is an auction for the rarest and most sought-after version of Led Zeppelin II. First U.K. Press. Red/Plum labels. A2/B2 matrix. Livin Lovin Wreck misprint label. All in excellent condition. Side 1 label and sleeve also have Lemon Song instead of Killing floor.
Only a limited number of records were pressed with this Wreck label misprint.
Cover - this is the much rarer widespine EJ Day version in light brown. It is in excellent condition with minimal edgewear and slight ringwear. No tears, no splits and no writing. Spine intact and fully legible. Most copies available are in really poor state. Has the Lemon Song credit rather than Killing Floor, and Livin Lovin Maid (she’s a woman) and not (She’s just a woman) - this is extra proof of first issue.
Original inner sleeve in excellent condition.
Record itself - visually is excellent with much of the original sheen and only a few minor scuffs and hairlines. Nothing that interferes with play. Play test showed minor crackles between tracks and in some quiet parts, but definitely no clicks pops sticks or jumps. A deep clean might improve sound even more. Remember this record is 48 years old!
No writing or tears to labels. Spindles very clean.
All in all this is a very rare and excellent example of this iconic record. On 05-Nov-17 at 22:43:02 GMT, seller added the following information: Please note, I will not be available to post this, if anyone purchases at Buy It Now price, between 6th and 13th November.
