Here we have not only the original handmade sleeve that were literally photocopies that were glued together by the band, but also the original red SRD-1 “RIGID DIGITS RECORDS” vinyl, one of the first 500 copies made with the now infamous number 2 written on the B side, by Ali I believe, the sleeves were made by the band on one of the lads kitchen tables, quaintly described by Jake in a radio interview as “ like the Blue Peter thing” to elude to what it felt like making them by hand........but to add to this I also have a copy of the first production run of sleeves, again described in the same interview as “as soon as we made any money we got the bloody sleeves printed”, this second run still had what was left of the original run of the red copies SRD-1 vinyl, without the number 2, which is included in the sale, but had a professionally printed sleeve, I have it on good authority that the runs of the single after this had “Rough Trade” written on the bottom right of the sleeve, and this would make sense as the guys hadn’t done anything with Rough Trade except sell some of the original batch through their shop in London after it was played on John Peel, so this sort of adds up in my mind.
The original sleeve and record are in very good condition for a record that is 40 this year, I haven’t played the vinyl so I can’t comment on its sound quality but it looks very good, the sleeve on the second issue does have some splits along the seam, which is a shame but the actual sleeve quality apart from this is also very good but the splits are there, the vinyl however is also very good, again not played but looks great.
Any questions please ask, I don’t think you will get the chance to own these two together and I hope they find a very good home.
There is no reserve so the auction starts at £0.99
I will offer tracking and insurance to the final buyer if they wish it but it’s not compulsory..
Also I can’t remove the word NEW from the description.....they were new...40 Years ago....

I have been asked if the sleeve is correct for the original hand made one, the ink stamp on the original handmade sleeve was always on the top right but when they came to have them professionally made the title was switched to the top left. Hope this helps.
